Conclusions:
In conclusion, this study reported that TXL exerted a multi-targeting effect on human colorectal cancer cells by lowering the metastatic and angiogenic markers at both transcriptional and translational levels. However, its bioactive fractions have not demonstrated such effects on both study models. This study generated valuable insights of the multi-targeting characteristics of Chinese medicinal formulations, including TXL, and provided significant scientific evidence of Chinese medicinal formulations as a complementary therapeutic regime for human cancers in future clinical settings.
